1. For a better understanding go with an example. Example for an service is 'Teaching' and example for an Product is 'Football'
a. The products are physical in nature .We can see it ,touch it.Football can be touched and have definite shape and volume. But services are not physical in nature.Teaching, can't be seen and touch.The doen't have any shape.
b.Storing.Products can be stored and identical products can be produced.Football can be produced and can put it in inventory for a long time.But services can't be stored .I f a teacher teaches , it can't be duplicated or stored in another occasion .It is consumed at the moment of it's production.
c.Return.If a product is bought and if we don't like it ,Then we can return the product to the seller.If we dind't like a football ,which we already bought can be returned.But once service is delivered we can't return it back.If teacher completed teaching a lesson ,we can't return it to her/he.
d.Quality.Products quality can be easily understood by looking upon it's raw materials , beauty ..etc.Foodballs quality can be analysed by the product used to make it and the work on it.But it is difficult to compare or make an idea of the quality of services.Some teachers can teach well and some can't and if we ask students about the quality of teachers, they will say both good and bad opinions about the same teacher.
These are the four important differences.
