Answer #1

Burning biomass produce carbon dioxide wether Biofuel or Fossil fuel But the growing biofuel crops have taken p carbon dioxide from atmosphere during their growth to form the biomass over the preceding months to year So when it burn it has no net impact on atmospheric carbon dioxide

When elemental carbon is burned in the open atmosphere, with plenty of oxygen gas present, the product is carbon dioxide. The organic molecules of living organisms have a measurably lower ratio of carbon-13/carbon-12, two stable isotopes of carbon. The ratio of carbon 13/carbon-12 is higher in non-organic molecules. What does this tell us about the rise in CO2 in the atmosphere over the last century? O Carbon dioxide molecules containg carbon-13 are heavier and sink to the ocean depths, making them less available to organisms. O The source of CO2 rise in the atmosphere is definitely due to the burning...

Please summarise below in a concise way. Alternative energy is studied as a result of the increasing costs of energy, the harm that fossil fuel may be costing the planet and the fact the energy demand is going up and the supply of fossil fuels may be going down. Energy and economic growth have always been going up, the more energy we consume, the more wealth we create as seen in the GDP of developed nations such as the USA,...

Calculate the number of pounds of CO2 released into the atmosphere when a 19.0-gallon tank of gasoline is burned in an automobile engine. Assume that gasoline is primarily octane, C8H18, and that the density of gasoline is 0.692 g·mL–1 (this assumption ignores additives). Also assume complete combustion.
