The do's of mission and vision statements are:

• The mission statement should explain the existence and purpose of the company and its values and beliefs. The vision statement should list out the goals and strategies that it will take to achieve the mission.
• Make it as clear and simple as possible. The language used and the way it is written should be easy to understand.
• It should be specific. It should point out to something in particular rather than something very generic and vague, that is what it really does rather than generalizing.
• It should be well researched and planned
• It should be competitive and challenging, yet achievable.
• Mission statements should focus on the now as well as what it will always do. The vision statement should focus on the medium term, 5-10 years.

Don'ts:

• It should not be vague or generic, that is no generalizing or be unclear.
• The goals, strategies and values should not be confused with each other, it shouldn't be cluttered together.
• It should not make false representations or misrepresentations, it should only describe what it really does or plans to.
• It should not be something un-achievable.
• It should not be in contrast to the mission statement

The mission and vision statements are cluttered together. It is always better to put them out separately. The vision statement should supplement the mission statement. The first 3 sentences pretty much does not explain what they do and is pretty unclear and vague. The mission and vision statements are indistinguishable. It seems that company hasn't put enough effort into it. Who we are, what we do and why we do it, these three points are not explained well, especially, 'why we do it'.
