THIS IS WHAT IS NEEDED IN THIS ANSWER!!!!!

Response(s) should involve more than just repeating or acknowledging another student’s points; responses should foster further discussion by exploring new lines of information, perspectives, and questions. Lastly, responses should not contain mechanical or grammatical errors.

Discussion 1: This is one of my favorite photos of my dog, Bella. Bella is 4 years old and we got her when was just a small puppy. When I look at this picture, it brings me joy to see how happy she looks because of the treat I’m about to give her. It also brings back memories of all the trainings I had to do with her. My memories of the image do affect my perception of the image, resulting in a higher attachment and higher emotional response to the image. When others see the image, I think most people would think Bella is a cute dog. It may even trigger a deeper emotional response if the viewer has a dog of their own. It is important to consider how others may perceive images because we live in a multinational market. It is important to consider cultural values when using images to communicate in the global market (Batra, 2017).

Discussion 2: This picture was taken last June when I married the man of my dreams and officially became a mom of 2. I never would have thought that I would be married by 25, have a daughter of my own when I was 24 and be a proud step mom of an 8 year old. This picture embraces what love can be and how it changes your entire world. When I look at this picture I just think to myself of how lucky I truly am everyday. Being a mom along with a step mom (which me & my daughter don’t call each other “step”, we are family!) is an experience that is hard to explain. It is not always easy but its something that I would never trade for the world. This picture marks a new beginning in our lives, and its something that I cherish. In this image, viewers who don’t know the meaning behind this image might not understand that that these are my children. This photo may appeal more towards individuals who are married or are getting married or even families. This photo may appeal more towards individuals who have children rather than individuals who do not have children. An image is used to tell a story between the photographer and the viewer (Huffpost, 2017).

Answer #1

Response to Discussion 1:

I believe that the author has explained a very deep insight about marketing in global markets by placing an example of photos. I completely agree with the fact highlighted here that while using images to communicate in the global market it is significant to consider cultural values of target audience as well as one must always consider how others may perceive about the images being used. While performing business internationally, culture of target market plays a significant role in success of organizations. While deciding the marketing strategies it is important to consider the cultural values and adapt strategies that are in accordance with the culture of target market.

Response to Discussion 2:

Every image has a different story. The meaning of one image will be different for those who can correlate with it but its meaning and significance will be different for the one who don’t have similar experience. However, it is true that a single image can hold different meaning for different people but the fact that images are a significant and powerful tool of communication cannot be ignored. Use of images for communicating/ addressing message without words acts as a powerful tool that is utilized in marketing strategy. While using images it is important to use those images that do not hamper beliefs of any community.
