cross feed per cutting stroke(f) =20mm/stroke

depth of cut(d) =40mm

traverse speed(v)= 10mm/min

metal removal rate(mm^3/min) = f*d*v    (* indicates multiplication)

M.R.R = 20*40*10 =8000mm^3/min

Therefore , for min in traverse grinding 8000 mm^3 volume of material is removed .
