Yes I have experienced a communication breakdown in my workplace because of personal setting. I was able to figure out when I directly had to contact the concerned person and told him the exact problem as to why I was not available that particular day. It was related to emotional factors, the reason was that person had issues with my sibling and she was taking a revenge through me by putting me in a difficult situation in front of my boss.
We should also try to keep personal and professional life separately rather than taking personal revenges in workplaces.
