The range that is used for the wireless technology ranges from 3kHz to 300 GHz.

In case of lower frequency, the advantage is there of penetration of the waves into the objects, but they cannot travel to more distance in comparison to the high-frequency waves.
Similarly, in the case of high frequency, the advantage is of the distance which they can have, coverage is the important use of high-frequency waves and the disadvantage is that, they do not have good penetration power as that of low frequency.

The low frequencies are used by industries that needs deep penetration into objects.
The high frequencies are used by the industries that need more coverage.
