The company needs to improve employee satisfaction by successfully addressing major employee needs as specified within McClelland's needs theory. These needs may be described as need for achievement supported by the drive to excel and succeed within the work sphere. The need for power which is supported by and achieved through the need to influence the behavior of others and obtain control and authority over them. the need of affiliation which arises out of the natural human desire for social interaction and creating interpersonal relationships as a means of support and sustenance within the organisation. It has helped organisations to optimise resource utilisation by obtaining optimal performances through motivation of the employees to give their best, which would have a reciprocal impact on customer satisfaction.

The HR department is crucial for environment which exist within an organisation as they are responsible for recruiting employees and other first contact of an employee with the organisation, thereby representing the organisation for the employee. Besides this Human Resource Department is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and output from a diverse workforce through motivation, training and employee satisfaction. This is the team responsible for extracting stellar performances or below power output. An efficient HR department with clear strategies on management of this important resource for the organisation is a major factor for excellent performance of most successful organisations.

For any employee to be motivated it is essential that they have self worth and self belief which is only provided through confidence generated by a feeling of importance. therefore, it is essential inclusive management be practiced with delegation of duties simultaneous with accountability for the results. With inclusive management and decision making power an individual feels empowered to achieve more than they are capable of as they desire greater power and responsibility. Inclusive management also facilitates excellent flow of communication in every direction vertically, both top and down, and horizontally which promotes cooperation and coordination within the department and with all external departments. This in turn improves information management system with all information being received and processed in an efficient manner. It also leads to entire department and Organisation working as one whole team moving forward together in a single direction on the road towards success in achievement of goals both organisational and personal.

Training programs of global standards with inbuilt tools for performance review and feedback, need to be introduced to maximize performance of the entire department with relation to the skill set as well as entire rules and procedures of the organisation.

The importance of accommodating diversity and supporting its existence with affirmative action needs to be stressed as diversity can provide a leading edge to organisations through a more innovative and diverse approach to every process. Affirmative action goes a long way in conflict management within the organisation along with improving the image of the organisation as being truly global and compassionate. Teaching all employees to respect and value each other, even while computing facilitates a clear code of conduct to be implemented along with open communication lines leading to cooperation and coordination.

With most organisations being dynamic and transformational due to extensive globalisation it is essential that the department develop adequate flexibility in approach towards management of human resource while ensuring equal opportunity to all along with absolute comfort and harmony within the workplace. Therefore, through motivation and inclusive management of the Human Resource Department productivity as well as profitability can be optimised creating a model of Excellence. The price tag for not helping employees learn to respect and value each other is enormous, this statement means that until and unless every employee learns to co-operate, co-ordinate and communicate with the other employees and values their inputs, and all move together as one whole organisation rather than as individuals the organisation is not set up to achieve goals and sustain itself. The requirement is for promoting cohesiveness and ruling out divisiveness.

An organization needs to display empathy for all employees which reflects outwards towards consumers and society leading to building of the brand image. The leadership needs to exhibit emotional intelligence for improving employee retention by adopting empathy. Empathy is adequate understanding and interpretation of the feelings of another within a situation by placing myself with others position within the situation so as to facilitate a better understanding of their perspective which results in creation of rapport with people from diverse cultures due to development of an attitude of acceptance and openness of thoughts and emotions leading to improved interaction due to acceptance of existence of diverse norms of behavior which can lead to a variety of methods of expression of emotions and thoughts with all being unique and acceptable with no perfect standard existing. It promotes an understanding of the concept that each individual is unique and diversity needs to be celebrated not criticized and to think beyond oneself and the ability to understand that we are not the epitome of perfection and standards in the world.
