Remember that the lymph nodes are highly important during maturation and development of some white blood cells. Additionally, they are involved in draining the lymph (white fluid composed by white blood cells). In order to drain the lymph in a proper way, it is important the distribution of lymph nodes in specific part of the body. The most concentrated zones on the human body is the axillary and inguinal regions. As you can observe, the axillary region is in the upper zone of the body and the inguinal in the lower part of the body.
So, it is important to have high concentration of lymph nodes in the axillary region since it will drain lymph that comes from the breast, neck, upper arms and underarm areas. While the inguinal region will focus in the abdominal wall, back, vulva, anus, perineum and scrotum.
