Answer #1

Negotiation is carried out to resolve issues among two parties, by considering opinions, interests, culture, requirements of an individual, etc. So, “haggling” is called as ‘Win Lose’ approach, which means you win and the other party lose. This creates bad association among the two parties. In this type of bargaining, individuals takes decision on what they are looking for and considers extreme position. Haggling is moreover like “giving and making of concessions” and reached to a common point where compromise is achieved. Each of these parties anticipate that this is in their favor. Hence, “assertive skills” works better in the process of haggling.
