During day time lake water slowly absorb heat from sun and gets warmer. But after sunset water does not quickly loose up its heat. It will slowly loose up its heat. So it is possible that at dawn water will feel warmer than the environment(air).
Ability of water to slowly loose it's heat is responsible for this phenomenon.
