Choose 10 ticker symbols and load the daily stock price information for at least one year into R. Although you may for instance select mutual funds as well, I will be referring to stocks in all the assignments. Create a histogram for one of your stock symbols. Print it and turn it in with a clear explanation what the data represents (the TA has to understand the histogram without having access to your data set). Explain how you have chosen the bin size. Calculate the log-returns for your stocks with R, and ensure that you calculate log(Sçlose/Sopen) where Sclose is the close price on day t and Spen is the open price on day t. Produce his- tograms for the log-returns of each of your 10 stocks. Experiment with the bin sizes. Create a one-paragraph description of your fndings and supplement this description with a well-chosen selection of histograms. Don't turn in more than a single page for this problem, so you are not turning in everything you do.
