1. Transcription will be turned on at trp operon when tryptophan levels are low, because this operon code for enzymes needed for the production of tryptophan ( tryptophan biosynthesis)

2. RNA polymerase will bind to the operator- promoter region to start the trp operon, and the repressor protein will not be bound to the operator region since it is not activated by binding of tryptophan which is the co repressor molecule

3. Transcription will be switched off at trp operon when tryptophan levels are high, because there is no need of operating this system to make tryptophan when tryptophan is already there in the cell

4. RNA polymerase will not be able to bind to the operator- promoter region to start the trp operon, since  the repressor protein ( with tryptophan attached to it ) is bound to the operator region.
