usually when we consider 6 sigma compliant then failure rate is approx. 2 ppb.

but considering the environment conditions the mean can also shift .

so we assume 1.5 sigma shift in mean .

so effective variarion is 4.5 sigma .

calculating assuming normal distribution our failure rate will be 3.4 ppm

thus to achieve lower failure rate we have to move to 7 sigma on 1.5 sigma deviation.

so our failure rate is not 6 sigma on 1.5 sigma shift compliant

now in the problem failure rate is lesser than 3.4 ppm
