we have the formula Ne=-1/2(Ht/Ho)1/t -1

a) Ht=4 and Ho=5.33 so Ne=-1/2(4/5.33)1/4-1

                                         -1/2x(0.75)0.25-1

                                          =-1/(1.5)0.25-1

                                          =--1/0.10.25

b) Ht=10 and Ho=5,33 so Ne=-1/2(10/5.33)1/10-1

                                          =-1/2x1.87 0.1-1

                                           =-1/2.74 0.1
