Has fatty acids, complete oxidation of fatty acids yields 9kcal/g.

Glycogen is present in hydrous form and hence contributes to large body weight.

Triacylglycerol are   hydrophobic and present in anhydrous form.
Capability to store energy A human body can store less than a day's energy supplied in the form of glycogen. Can store enough energy that is sufficient for months.
