Correlation refers to a connection between two or more thing,It can be simply understood has comparison with others

For example :

●A research on a topic has to be correlated with other research similar to it to avoid bias

●A diagnosis is usually correlated with the signs and symptoms or with patient history

Identity refers to the uniqueness of a thing or a person (belief,self esteem,personalities, self image etc.,)The character generally describes the individual orbiting or product

For example

●A plant can be identified with its flower or fruit (Identity of a rose plant is rose)

●Designation of an individual in workplace is his identity

It is important to distinguish between these two concepts is to avoid confusion in any work and to get directed to the right path
