1. If human stomach were not able to expand to accommodate more food--- There would be a need to eat much more frequently to sustain energy and There would be more occurances of stomach rupture because the stomach is the main food storage tank of the body if it would not be able to maintain it's storage capacity we have to take our meal in few times of the day in small amount to retain energy and this disturbed condition of stomach can cause gastrointestinal perforation leads to stomach rupture.

2. The function of the digestive system are --

It transform the food we eat into a form our bodies can use. Because our body needs nutrients from food and drink to work properly. Protein, fat, cabohydrate, vitamins, minerals and water are the nutrients. Digestive system can breaks nutrients into smaller parts for our body to absorb and use for energy , growth .

It rids the body of the waste that remains after nutrient absorption. Because after adequate nutrients absorption undigested part of the food materials are removed from the body as feces, defecation is another important function of digestive system.

3.Salivary glands play a role in digestion by producing viscous solution in the digestive tract to aid peristalsis because salivary glands produce saliva which keeps the mouth and other parts of digestive system moist, it also lubricates the passage of food down from the oro-pharynx to the esophagus to the stomach.

4. Gallbladder and liver are the two accessory organ that aid in digestion because gallbladder helps to concentrate bile and store and liver play multiple role in digestive system , can process the nutrients absorbed from the small intestine, bile production and excretion, metabolism of fat, carbohydrate and protein moreover control the excretion of bilirubin, cholesterol, hormones.
