Please explain how you would process data using a mixed method approach (qualitative and quantitative) for analysis and presentation of the study?
Quantitative Analysis is a type of analysis where we look into the financial statements and perform ratios and percentages to figure out the revenue growth, current ratio and debt position of the firm. The metrics used to know the forecast growth assumptions also come under quantitative analysis. We have Balance sheet, cash flow statement and net income statements to analyse, profits, net income, operating income, liabilities and assets to analyse. All these are figures to read in between to understand the company's profit and it's position. P/E ratio, EPS are few examples.
Qualitative Analysis is a type of analysis where we look into the management's decisions, analysis, the investor sentiments, economical structure, political and environmental issues, and everything in between is subjective unlike mathematical. Even SWOT analysis that states Strengths, Weaknesses , assessing Opportunities and Threats with the suppliers etc are qualitative. Briefly explain how you would perform a quantitative analysis of the components of a mixture of ethanol, n-propanol, and iso-propanol using HPLC. Begin with the preparation of standard solutions. Explain how you would use the HPLC chromatogram to both identify the molecules and quantify the amount of each alcohol in the mixture. You don’t have to provide volume or concentration numbers or other technical experimental details. Provide a description of the general approach. Be complete and concise.

What are two instruments that might be used to gather data for your study? Why do you believe these instruments will gather the appropriate data to answer the research questions and address the problem?
