Give an example of a Misleading statistic, how you would go about collecting the initial data and the sampling biases and errors involved in the collection of your data that may have lead to the misleading information.

An example of a mis-leading statistic would be the computation of average and median income of households in a district or a city based on telephonic survey. By doing this kind of survey, only those households would be contacted who would have a telephone connection at their homes and the rest would not come under the purview of the survey.

This would definitely skew the data and introduce sampling biases in the data and distort the median and average income computed for the district or the city.
