Question no 2, solution:

Given data are, the density of mercury = 13.6g/cm3 at 20 C and 1 atm pressure. mass of mercury = 2.00 kg

We need to find the volume of mercury at the same conditions

As we know Density = Mass/volume

So, 13.6g/cm3 = 2.00 kg/ volume ,so first we need to change 2.00 kg into gm, so multiply with 1000 = 2*1000= 2000gm so, the final mass is = 2000gm

13.6g/cm3 = 2000g/volume, therefore volume = 2000g/13.6g/cm3 , so gm to gm goes cancel out only cm3 will remain , the volume is 147 cm3.

so the volume of mercury at the same condition will be = 147 cm3
