(a) In diagram ii and iv it will pass through the pivot point.

(b) When line of action of force pass through the pivot point then torque due to such forces is zero.
hence for diagram ii and iv there will be no torque.

(c) We know that the torque is given by
torque = Force*perpendicular distanc
therefore in diagram "iii" perpendicular distance is maximum therefore
for diagram iii it will be maximum.
