a. What is CMS?

CMS became a buzz word in the web development industry because of its benefits.
CMS stands for Content Management System. It is a term and has not been endorsed with a solid definition. A CMS can have multiple meanings depending on the scenarios and the person's or project objectives.

To add to the perplexity, an association named AIIM (Association for Information and Image Management) asserted the acronym ECM (Enterprise Content Management) and WCM (Web Content Management) as their creation and thought of their own definition that suites their association's administrations. AIIM changed their meaning of ECM a couple of times and presented their definitions to Wikipedia, which is currently distributed.

At the season of this composition, for most situations, when somebody in the web improvement industry is discussing CMS (Content Management System), or ECMS (Enterprise Content Management System), he/she is more probable alluding to either the first or second definition beneath.

The definition of a CMS is an application (more likely web-based), that provides capabilities for multiple users with different permission levels to manage (all or a section of) content, data or information of a website project, or internet / intranet application.

Overseeing content alludes to making, altering, chronicling, distributing, working together on, revealing, conveying site substance, information and data.

A case of a CMS application is a Web Application that gives the accompanying organization, control board or site administration functionalities:

  • Make, Edit, Publish, Archive site pages
  • Make, Edit, Publish, Archive articles
  • Make, Edit, Publish, Archive official statements
  • Make, Edit, Publish, Archive online journals
  • Include/Edit occasions into an Event Calendar
