The benefits of automation to health care are many

1. Work reduction for the staff: The tasks which can be done by machines can be assigned to machines. This saves time and energy. The staff can be utilized for higher functions which requires thinking and decision making. This improves the health care.
2. Reduction in errors and improved quality: Automated tools may not express human error and will work without fatigue. This reduces cost and errors. Also the human resources can be utilized in a better way.
3. Waste reduction: Electronically managing the work reduces the usage of paper and files and also the space to keep the records like shelf and racks.
4. Better management of the ward or large group of patients:

The nurse or health care worker can manage a large group of patients with the help of automation. She can group them according to age, type of illness etc and have a clear idea about them , their lab reports, progress, medication changes etc.

5. Outcome predictability: When all the patients are tracked in an automated setting, the health care worker can follow them up easily. The planned outcome and variations from that are better managed in an automated setting.
