THREE NURSING INTERVENTIONS FOR DIABETIC FOOT CARE :

  • Regular foot care such as pedicare should be done to remove dead cells and maintain the hygiene of the foot.
  • diabetic special shoes should be worn by the patient which is a bit longer than the patient's actual foot size to prevent shoe bites.
  • Educate patient of managing sugar level by diet and exercise and to encourage to do follow ups on time.

THREE NURSING INTERVENTIONS FOR AMBULATION WITH CRUTCHES :

  • Educate patient about the use or crutches and types.
  • Advise patient to carefully and strongly hold the crutch before standing.
  • Assist patient in standing and inform the patient to put his dominant or the leg which is not injured first to prevent any imbalance.
