The Golden Rule is the principle of treating others as one's self would wish to be treated. In the life that we live, i personally believe that empathy, sympathy, compassion, forgiveness and kindness are the traits that represent the Golden Rule in your interactions with others. There are many a times when i feel that i would be unable to continue with the virtues of forgiveness and compassion. For instance there was once an incident wherein my best friend ditched me by running away with my boyfriend and she did not even tell me she likes him ever, I felt so much shattered and helpless. I wanted to kill her that day for fooling me to this level. But then life never gives you choices and this was my anger saying these words. I never wanted this to happen with us but situations completely transformed. I think human beings cannot stop being selfish at times and then they are not left with any option during that time. But we do have to learn to live with it and control all the negatives in life. We have to feel positive and try to follow all the virtues in life.
