Answer #1

Given:

Pi = 756 torr

Pf = 185 torr

Vi = 80.0 mL

Ti = 18.5 oC

= (18.5+273) K

= 291.5 K

Tf = -11.0 oC

= (-11.0+273) K

= 262 K

use:

(Pi*Vi)/(Ti) = (Pf*Vf)/(Tf)

(756 torr*80 mL)/(291.5 K) = (185 torr*Vf)/(262.0 K)

Vf = 293.8345 mL

Answer: 294 mL
