icare self assessment as I embark on my BNS journey
As anyone embark on his BNS journey, he /she needs to self assess his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities. iCare is a type of self assessment tool or method. Under this self assessment method, one has to answer some questions related to his/her knowledge, skills, abilities professionalism, areas of improvement, strengths, etc.
iCare maintains an electronic record of such self assessment in digital format that can be shared across different health care facilities. It helps to determine the clinical competence of Nurses which is very important to ensure safe and high quality health care. Under the iCare self assessment method, one simply check off answers on a multiple choice test and grades himself/herself. In this method, participants monitor and evaluate the quality of their thinking and behavior during the learning process. They also identifies different strategies that would help them to improve their understanding and skills. They judge their own work to improve their performance.
