Hepatitis A vaccination:

epatitis A is a serious liver disease. it is caused by Hepatitis A virus.

this spreads by contact with the feces of infected people.

Hepatitis A vaccines are given for children aged 1 year to 15 years. routine vaccinations is between their 1st and 2nd birthdays.

Traditionally a 2 dose schedule is recommended in immunocompromised individuals.

But single dose is enough for healthy individuals.

anti HAV antibodies will remain for 25 years in the recipient body.

Besides protecting individual child vaccination against Hepatitis A

virus prevent epidemics.

Hepatitis B Vaccination:

Hepatitis B infection is a viral caused that attacks liver. The virus is transmitted from mother to child during delivery & birth and as well as through contact with blood abd other body fluids.

Three dose Hepatitis B vaccine - This is important to vaccinate babies at birth as they will be protected as early as possible from any exposure to virus

1. Newborn

2. 28 days after 1st shot

3. 4 months after the 1st shot

Two dose Hepatitis Vaccine -

2 doses can be given 28 days apart in the same month

Health care workers who have a reasonable expectation of being exposed to blood on the job should be offered Hepatitis B Vaccine.
