Answer #1

ANSWER.

a) Calculation of mg of albuterol ordered in a 24 hour period.

         Ordered dose = 8 mg QID

                    QID = 4 times a day or 24 hour.

      So

         mg of albuterol ordered in a 24 hour = 8 * 4

                                                                    = 32 mg.

b) Total ordered dose for 24 hour period = 32 mg

     Maximum dose for child below 12 yrs in a 24 hr period = 24 mg

            So

                This dose exceed the maximum dose for 24 hours.
