As a nurse, it's important to analyze and provide appropriate care for your patients. In order to do so, the nurse should understand the proper tasks needed to be done, as well as the developmental stages of their patients. At every stage of life, certain tasks should be implemented with relation to administering immunizations and wellness of your patient. Immunizations are based on the principle that it is better to prevent a person from contracting a disease than it is to have to treat it after a said person becomes ill. Thanks to immunization, some serious illnesses that were once relatively common all over the world including measles, whooping cough, mumps, polio, rubella, tetanus, and rotavirus are now preventable with vaccine shots. Vaccines have managed to save millions of lives for several decades by preventing countless cases of diseases. Ideally, healthcare providers have a knowledge base in regards to human growth and development with individuals across the lifespan.

Nursing consideration process at various stages of life:

A. Infant: It is the most susceptible stage of infections. A nurse will ask assessment questions to the parent about an infant. Establish what particular milestones they should have accomplished by the age they are presently (wellness). What immunizations they should already take. At this stage, physical assessment will include respiration, chest circumference, pulse and temperature of the infant. Hepatitis B vaccination should be given to the infant.

B. School age children: In this stage children actively participate in their care and examination. So, simple explanations about their care should be given to them. Vaccinations like DPT, Hib immunization, MMR, typhoid and Hepatitis B should be given to them.

C. Young Adults: During this stage, if an ill person is the major provider of income to the whole family then it will be an accidental stressor for the family. Patient should be informed about the whole treatment plan.

D. Older Adults: They should intake high fibre diet and should take a lot of fluids. In order to reduce urinary tract infection, they should stop having acidic fluids.
