Do you think software licenses are fair? What about copyrights on music or movies? Is it fair that people pirate software, music or DVD's? What, if anything, should be done about pirating?

Yes software licenses are fair. Software licenses defines the responsibilities of the party entering to accept the license agreement and they have to follow some restrictions , software license include warranties which is beneficial to user.

Music and movie licensing is the licensed use of copyrighted movie or music. Music and Movie licensing is intended to ensure that the owners of copyrights on their work are compensated for certain use of their work. Licensing also confirms that the work belongs to no one else other than you, it’s like registering something.

It’s someone’s hard work. He/she has spent a lot of time working on that and when there time is near to ripe what they have sown the piracy mafia takes over their fruit resulting loss of finance to that owner whose work has been pirated.

Music and Movie piracy is the copying and distributing of their work for which the owners including composer, artist etc. doesn't give permission too. Holding copies of some work without the permission of original owner is against the law. Piracy is a very big issue when a software music or movie is released it can be stopped if we improve our laws and restrict the online streaming services to avoid giving full royalties’ too free users. Other than that if something pirated is posted it should be removed. "YouTube has this feature". We should improve our law to charge that person who is doing pirating, starting catching big fishes the other will get scared.
