Emancipation proclamation was established by president Abraham Lincoln on 1 st January 1863.it was made to free all the slaves but all the slaves were not freed . The south wanted to keep the slaves so they started war . Slaves were encouraged to runaway destroying south and join union army . The cause of war was different intrest between northern and southern regions of the country. Slavery was first brought by Africans. The state first stopped slavery was Vermont .Emancipation proclamation was actually established to free slaves but actually not all the slaves become free , it was not applicable for the slavery states such as Delaware , Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri.one of the problem of emancipation proclamation is , it was passed as a war time measure .But slowly slavery disappeared as the the bold effort taken by Abraham Lincoln.
