Example of Positive Affect - Adaptation to Information Technology has enabled the US Postal Service to become more efficient.Example can be optimum usage of it's human resource (employees) i.e.,it's employees have become more efficient.
It has also able to take advantage of the IT in improving it's quality of service to it's customers in terms of ease ,speed and accuracy of operation / delivery.
It has also led to innovation in terms of customization of services and also new offering in terms of products and services according the need and demand of the hour.
Example: US Postal service if uses the IT in the right way,can benefit on a massive scale since already it has a loyal consumer base and also wide network which is not present for private players.
Negative can be:There are many private players who emerged out in competition to the US Postal service by making use of latest IT technology in a much larger and faster when compared to US Postal service since they are private organizations and are generally more efficient than it.
The IT can reduced the entry barrier in this industry and also brought innovation into this industry which the private players / competitors have adopted at a much rapid pace / more efficient manner which helped them to stay ahead in competition.
Example: Companies like Amazon are using Drones in delivery so the demand for postal service gets reduced.Since the US Postal service is the largest player in the industry,it will be affected the most.
