The Tuskegee study of untreated syphillis in negrao males was conducted between 1932 to 1972 by Fred .D Gray. It was an unethical study as it was done without the benefit of patients informed consent . The good outcome of this study was it started treatment programs for blacks.

The three facts of this study was :-

- justify treatment to the blacks infected with syphillis

- it was an unethical study as it was done without the benefit of patients informed consent .

- the study was done to compare with Oslo study on untreated caucasian males with syphillis.
