The magnitudes of voltage and current in an AC circuit follow Ohm's same as that in DC.
in DC ; V = IR
in AC ; V = IZ
here Z is impedance and is similar to resistance, but it is a complex quantity. Meaning, it not only has a magnitude but also a direction. The direction of impedance is a result of combination of its components (R,L and C).
The direction of impedance decides direction of current. Example: If impedance has angle 20 deg then current will have angle -20 deg (because opposition). Meaning current will be 20 deg behind voltage.
