Isoxsuprine: it is used as the peripheral vasodilator drug.

The common pharmacological class is vasodilator.

It enables the dilation of the veins and arteries and fascilitates the easier passage of the blood.

Common brand name is Vasodilan.

Use : This drug is widely used in the management of cerebral vascular insufficiency and arteriosclerosis.

Side effects & adverse reactions: Severe cardiac arrythmia, chest pain and dizziness.

Contraindication & toxicity: it is contraindicated in case of arrhythmic patients, hyperthyroidism and in patients with pre-eclampsia.

Routes of administration‎:   as oral in the form of tablet

Other pertinent information: It should not be used after immediately postpartum, take precautions during sitting and sudden getting up, as it is having high dizziness.
