The search engines on internet have an inbuilt mechanism to store and scan all the information we put on our mails and social networking sites. This information can be used by individuals and companies to cheat us, generate money by using our private information or use us for criminal activities.   In order to protect us from these online scandals we must be cautious and take precautions.

When we receive emails we must be careful not to open any mail containing unknown pathways or respond to mails that propose to unduly benefit us. These are mostly meant for extracting our private information and cheat us.

We should create strong passwords for all networking sites and not use commonly used phrases.

We should refrain from disclosing our bank details and identity details in online sites and even emails.

We must use privacy settings on all sites we use like Facebook, YouTube etc. and make sure our data is not available publicly.
