Survivorship curves/ Surviorship Schedule/ Survivorship graph shows the number or fraction of a population that survives from one age to the next.

There are three types of Survivorship schedule which will represent the survival probability.

1. Convex curves: These are characterized by high age-specific survival probability in early and middle life, followed by a rapid decline in survival in later old age life. Example mammals.

2. Diagonal curves: These are the curves in which constant mortality rate/survival probability is experienced regardless of age. Example Lizards.

3. Concave curves: Thesehave the greatest mortality at earlier stage in life, with relatively low rates of death at later stage of life for those surviving this bottleneck effect.
