Step-by-Step Solution

Solution 1

Schopenhauer proposed that the human behavior comprised of the influential drive towards his own self-preservation. Most of the human behavior is irrational. Human survive to satisfy his own will. Unsatisfied needs result in the pain. This pain further causes the urge in human to do some act to satisfy his needs. Momentary pleasure or satisfaction is experienced by the humans, when a need or will are achieved by him.

Momentary pleasure lasts until the urge for the next will or need arises and this process goes on till the end of the life. Boredom is caused by the satisfaction of all the needs. This characteristic is called as the pessimism by the Schopenhauer. Common people have gregarious nature, whereas the people with high level of intelligence seek for the solitude.

Intelligent people have to suffer more in comparison with the unintelligent people. More wisdom directly contributes to the more amount of grief. High levels of the knowledge cause the sorrow. Sufferings caused due to the wisdom have associated with the nobility but the life of the unintelligent people has no higher meanings.
