Suicide is a dangerous issue in people mainly with the depression and mood disorder. They may commit suicide during the depression or in treatment phase for depression. There is a one percent chance of suicide in a year during the depression and 15% of chance if there is a recurrence of depression.
Mental disorders are another causative agent for the commitment to suicide. People with two or more mental problems are at high risk. The causative agents for suicide are
• Lose of parents
• Child abuse
• Lose of a partner
• Antisocial behavior
• Negative thoughts
• Suicidal ambivalence
Ambivalence is an adjunct to suicide. Some people do not really want to die but they give a warning of distress to others by means of cutting, jumping from high places. If there is an unsuccessful attempt then there is a reduction in negative emotion.
