Evoked response potential (ERP) allows to measure the electrical activity of many brain regions simultaneously. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is a type of dynamic brain imaging technique.
Charles Spearman (1920s) proposed the existence of “general intelligence,” which was named as “g” factor. Both the fMRI and ERP studies showed that the efficiency of neural circuits in the prefrontal-parietal circuits is associated with the standard measures of “g” factor.
