The surface of the cerebrum contains several foldings called gyri (raised ridge of the folding), it consists of the nerve cells (grey matter) and it is also called as cerebral cortex.
The association cortex includes the two third of region of frontal, temporal, parietal and temporal lobes. The association cortex contains already processes information (knowledge). Its function is to produce cognition.
