How does the process of writing history in any field necessarily restrict the number of people whose work can be singled out for attention?

Step-by-Step Solution

It is an acceptable fact that women and minority groups have got less recognition, as compared to their contributions due to discrimination. It is seen in every field that everybody does not get the spotlight, or the attention of the whole world. Psychology is a field with major discoveries, innovating ideas and thought provoking questions.

Only the best brain can blend all these ingredients to make the perfect concoction that will grant him fame and money. Even white men, who do their share of work, also do not get that amount of recognition, unlike some of their counterparts. This is not a deliberate discrimination, instead it is the way history is written. Only some have their names written down in history.

Only few men are singled out for fame and money. Many do not get that attention because they are the ones, who carry out day to day work, and mostly remain behind the screen. They are mostly occupied with teaching, seeing clients, performing experiments and sharing information with their colleagues.

These people are recognized only by their peers, which comprises a relatively small number of people. Even though they have the talent, it is a sad reality that not everyone can be a Freud.
