Situation 1.

Here mrs Gregg is expressing frustration.Becuses she is unable to cut her mead and is having difficulty in getting food into her mouth. As said above she is an independent women by this condition to depend upon others and to not have the ability to do normal things is frustrating the patient.

The support worker should consider her mentality to be independent the help should be done without making it obvious for example the food pieced should be cut in eatable pieces before placing before her or prepare foods which does not need cutting.

2)Mrs Gregg is expressing hope and boredom.

She is saying that she wants to return to her work in weeks and she is passing the time by studying.

The support worker should help her to practice the words and should work towards her speech.

3)she is using contradictory statement.By saying that she didn't deserve what happened to hers nd also asking what she did that resulted in her condition. She is showing hopelessness.

The support worker should ecpaone to her that her condition not occurred because she did or didn't do something. It is commonlyseen among people. And should make her to feel hopefull and try her to work towards improving her mobility.

4)She is being shy and what to be independent.

The support worker should explain to her that accepting help from others when she can't be able to do it herself does not mean that is deoendind on others. And explain to her if she falls and attain injuries than her condition may distort. And she would need more physical therapy.

And encourage her to continue her mobility with the help of the provider.

5)A she is 55 years old her age may affect t her ability to attain sppecha nd mobility.Out of the two mobility may be difficult because her body may not be able to coperate with her as it will for patients who are younger.

Her personality may affect her mobility because she is not willing to take the help of the support worker but she is asking to improve her ability to read and work so her speech will attained.

If a person is in stimulating environment then they will have high chance of improving their conditions. As said above mrs.gregg is often visited by her children and grandchildren.By taking her to peacefull and stimulating places her condition may improve.
