Gina has come into the primary care center with her mother Kris for an 11-year-old wellness examination. Hair: coarse hair in the genitalia underarms and on the legs. The eruption of permanent teeth completes except third molar(wisdom teeth). Growth spurt occurs which has a rapid increase in weight and in height.
B. The nurse can teach Kris about issues regarding Body image. She likes her physical self, perceived the image of the head with her hair and eye colour. Child compares with the bodies of their peers. It is important to teach her bodily functions with correct information. Develops beginning interest in the opposite gender. Increasing awareness of bodily differences, but accompanied by unkind comments from others may cause child to feel inferior and depressed. It interferes with the ability to participate in games and activities.
