The second part of this assignment is to submit a two (2) page analysis of your diet. This analysis will include what areas of your diet are nutritionally correct (good) and also, areas that are not nutritionally correct (need improvement). Please include information and data from your dietary analysis and discuss it. Also, answer the question “are you going to change your diet after completing this assignment?” I am not going to judge what you eat! I will be grading your assignment and the content. Remember this- we all have our favorites and they not be the best choice. In my case Pizza is my weakness. The exercise will only be interesting if it reflects what you actually eat.

While analyzing my diet, I asked a lot of questions myself. Like vehicles, we need fuels in the form of food which is called as energy and are measured in calories. If the fuel is in impure then the vehicle becomes a wreck. In the same way, if we are not taking the diet in the correct proportion of nutrients, then our body becomes sick. Thinking healthy diet means picking only healthy food is not enough to maintain good health. Taking diet with balanced nutrients is essential for a healthy diet.

When I started to analyze my diet, the common food that is included in our daily diet is bread slice, spinach, fruits, vegetables, egg, milk, yogurt, sandwich, mayonnaise, cream, butter, chicken, salads, soup, olive oil, chocolate, juice, pulses, cereals. In addition, weekends I have filled with ice creams, cheese, burger. My diet consists of both a good thing and a bad thing. When looked upon the nutrients, I had included all the essential nutrients in my daily diet, but whether it is in correct proportion is a big question. My diet is little in increased in fat and carbohydrate content, but low in protein level. Only vitamins and minerals are taken in correct proportion. Then, while analyzing the type of food, I had included more fried items, then boiled or baked items. Then, analyzing the amount of food, I had taken three big portions in a day. Only 60% of my plate is good. I need improvement and changes in my daily diet.

After analyzing my diet, I definitely change my diet pattern to improve my health. I will measure and maintain my daily calorie intake. I included more pulses, grains, cereals in my diet. I will take the burger, and other junk foods rarely. Instead of preserved juice, I will take fresh fruit which is rich in nutrients. I keep on eye on my fat content to protect myself from obesity. I will change my meal as a smaller portion five times a day. In addition, I will increase my regular physical activity to burnt my extra calories and keep me active always.
