Ethics can be demonstrated as a set of standards or principles of the conduct that can govern a group or an individual. Ethics are completely depended on human actions. These are important moral principles. The ethical principles outline and address ethical issues and dilemma or even although care. It helps by understanding the respect related to the autonomy of the patient, beneficence, non malificence and justice. It is based on the principle approach of resolving issues and analyzing the merits and limitations. It helps to understand and use the aspects of commitment, compassion and care. The important principles that will help to solve the health care dilemma revolve around balancing the advantages of therapy burden. It is related to providing benefit for the patient and seeking justice for the ones who need education and access to health care insurance. There are five important ethical theories are there they are utilitarianism, egoism, dentological ethics, categorical imperative and virtue ethics.
Utilitarianism: It is the concept of thinking with holistic approach of all or in simple terms it can be say as the greatest good for greatest number of people. In this the outcomes only consider but not the actions. Because of the action if many people benefited, even few people struggled or worried, it has to be carried. in patient care concept also, we must only consider the final output or result to the patient in a positive way. For this, if the patient gets struggled without treatment initially, it is only for his/her good only. Not for our benefits, at the end the patient is the one who will be recovered only.
Egalitarianism: It speaks all people are equal; there should not be any discrimination among people based on social status, financial stability or any other aspects. in patient care it can be considered as, the care providers must consider patients all are equal. They only discriminate on the basis of their disease and health problems, but not on the basis of their social status or financial abilities.
Libertarianism: It speaks about little intervention of the doctors or care providers in patient conditions. it not work here, because the doctors must check and assess the patient positions regularly, based on this assessment only they can provide right dosage and medicine to the patients.
Deontology: It is the process which speaks about the work is god. You should not consider the outcomes or consequences of any work. You must perform your duty irrespective of outcomes or the results. It is up to you to complete the task only, but to the results you are not responsible. It is the will of the god or power to get the result. It is applicable to patient care also. You must follow your duty irrespective of consequences and problems, without considering the results.
