Fat-soluble vitamins need the assistance of fat globules to aid in the transportation of nutrients through the intestine to the blood stream, while water soluble vitamins just need water to absorb the nutrients.  So now that you now what the difference between fat soluble and water soluble vitamins, how do they differ in deficiency and toxicity levels?  How do they occur for each?

Ans) Vitamins are classified into two groups: water-soluble and fat-soluble. Water-soluble vitamins, which include all of the B vitamins, are easily absorbed into the body. If you consume more of a water-soluble vitamin than you need, the excess will be excreted, not stored.

- In contrast, water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water and are not stored by the body. Since they are eliminated in urine, we require a continuous daily supply in our diet. The water-soluble vitamins include the vitamin B-complex group and vitamin C.

- Fat-soluble vitamins provide the most benefit when consumed alongside foods that contain fat. Fat-soluble vitamins will not dissolve in water. Instead, fat-soluble vitamins absorb best when taken with higher-fat foods. Once absorbed into the body, fat-soluble vitamins are stored in fatty tissues and liver.
