A clinician is trained personnel who works directly in in patient care rather than in the lab or more as a researcher. Where as a nonphysician clinician are also the health professionals who render services that would otherwise being provided by the physician. They work as a team with the physician or under them to enhance the quality of services. The personnel can be educated and trained more quickly and less expensively than physicians.
Mid level practitioners are those who had undertaken various training and are under more restricted scope of practice than physicians and other health professionals.
The midlevel practitioners are as follows :

#midwives
# nurse anesthetists
# clinical nurse specialist
# nurse practitioner
From the perspective of the managed care organization the health care needs are vital and health professionals play a significant part of it the pros are:
# helps in rendering comprehensive patient care.
# proper assessment, diagnosis, planning treatment can be done as each person will be under their scope of practice.
# when the delegation of work among each professional according to their competence when given will gain new skills and helps in upward mobility of the health care.
THE CONS ARE:
# legal and ethical issues arisis with the scope of practice and the services which are rendered to the public.
Yes had the experience of being cared by the midlevel practitioner. The experience was incredible as the care what they give depends on the priority of all domains of health which in turn provides the holistic care. The care was best and adequate with proper specialisation of each staff. The midlevel practitioners are a lot more critical thinkers, assessors and cognizant comparatively with other clinicians.
